A Quick Clutter Remedy with Long Lasting Results

Do you watch The Home Edit on Netflix? If not, I highly recommend it (if you’re an organization buff like I am or if you just want to feel excited about dealing with clutter). Clea and Joanna totally inspired me to FINALLY organize my handbags in my closet and what a difference it made!

I love handbags (not that I change mine all that often) and have a lovely collection. But, they have been messy and flopping over for months and I am definitely NOT a fan of a chaos and clutter. Plus, it meant I had no idea what I actually had in there!

After watching The Home Edit, it took me all of 20 minutes to create order and beauty and see what I have. What did I do?

  1. Removed and donated the bags I’ll no longer use.
  2. Stuffed the larger bags with repurposed materials I get when I receive packages.
  3. Used a couple of handy dividers from the Container Store to keep the smaller bags organized.
  4. Arranged them by the color of the rainbow.

I was (and still am) delighted with the results. Here are my before and after photos.

It’s truly amazing what we can do with the right inspiration and tools, right?

Now it’s your turn. What 20-minute project can you take on that will make you smile and bring you peace?

As you can see, you don’t need to spend a fortune redesigning your closet. Closet headaches can be fixed by hiring a professional fashion and style consultant like me. I support you fully to have a closet space that makes getting dressed easy and pleasant for you. I’d love to help! Here are two ways I can help:

Get on the waitlist for my upcoming live class starting January 6 (www.createyourpersonalstyle.com). Here’s what Pamela from Canada has to say about how the class helped her: “I am quickly paring my wardrobe down to the real winners. Some items I instinctively knew were problems, but I couldn’t articulate why until I took this course. I am looking forward to the next class. I find them so valuable.” – Pamela from Canada

Or email me and we’ll set up a time to talk about working one-on-one. (Please note that most of my work is now done virtually during the pandemic but you’d be surprised how effective that can be!)
