‘O tidings of comfort and joy’…
It’s that time of year and, as expressed in the popular Christmas carol, ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman,’ we all want tidings of comfort and joy.
That’s what I would like to bring to you today…tidings of comfort and joy…not only as my holiday wish for you but also as you get dressed each day.
For some time now, comfort has been the #1 requirement that I hear from women when it comes to their wardrobes. I suspect you can relate. If so, as you get ready for the holidays, parties and family get-togethers, you want to wear something that looks great and also feels divine.
I would like to share a few ideas for holiday clothing and accessories. You do not have to settle for that same red sweater you’ve worn for the past three years (unless, of course, it’s a tradition and you love it). You can have something fun and new to gather with friends or ring in the New Year.

Holiday Casual Dressing
Not every holiday occasion requires something dressy. In fact, as I talk with my friends and clients, I find that many get-togethers are not fancy at all. But that doesn’t mean you have to settle for jeans and polar fleece. Why not try something a bit more festive!
And, while, for some reason, designers think we want to wear sleeveless when it’s 20 degrees outside, all the tops I am showing you are ¾ or long sleeved. They are out there…we just have to look a bit harder!

If you do end up wearing something sleeveless you then have to figure out what you are going to wear over it in case you get chilly. This is one of my all-time favorites. It’s like a shawl, but it stays in place!
